Marie Monroe

For our lovely pin-up of the week, we bring you Marie Monroe. This Canadian blonde recently photographed by one our favorite photographers, the talented Shannon Brooke, caught our attention not only with some kick-ass rides, but with those long legs and a delicious smile.

BIO: I am a small farm-town Canadian girl who grew up going to car shows, building half-pipes for my BMX bike, bailing hay, and playing pond hockey. I think some would call me the epitome of a tom boy. My dad was the former president and founder of a car club, so my entire upbringing was all about cars. Fixing them, showing them, … and wrecking them (only once when I was drag racing)!

I began pinup as a hobby and an off-shoot from my pole dancing (no, it’s not stripping). I’m not trying to be the next greatest thing out there… In fact, I’m actually a Commercial Producer with a background in Engineering and Computer Science, so pin-up modeling has only ever been for fun. I have been at it a year, and I love it! Ok, I know… I don’t have any tattoos, but I like to embody the look, grace, and elegance of the original pin-ups. So even though shooting with gassers, classics, hot-rods are my specialty and favorite, I also love to do old school Hollywood glamor, swimsuit, and military themed. I don’t take myself too seriously, and enjoy laughing and joking around with everyone (I was also the class clown). Lately I have had the opportunity to shoot with some fantastic photographers including Shannon Brooke Imagery, Mitzi & Co, and Mike Basso to name a few, and I am waiting on some feature publications to come out soon! I usually attend all the major car shows, and some of the smaller local ones in LA’s South Bay as well. So if you see me, come say hi! 🙂
